Bella Body Centre is a massage and relaxation centre in Bondi that combines all aspects of Thai, Chinese and Swedish style treatments. They had an existing website, but wanted a smoother booking system and redesign after several years of operating.
The old website was built in Wordpress and had a booking system that consisted of a contact form which sent requests directly to the manager's phone and email. The manager would then organise the bookings manually after speaking with each customer. Unfortunately this unintentionally allowed people to cancel last minute without facing consequences, as no enforcable cancellation policy was in effect.
The new website uses Square's booking system to automate bookings and safely capture credit card details before allowing people to book. This means that Square handles cancellations for the business; if a booking is marked as a cancellation and no funds have been received after the due date then Square automatically charges the cancellation fee outlined in Bella Body's Terms.
Additionally, I used Webflow to build the website in order to have more control over the design. I kept the original cyan colour to represent the beach at Bondi, and the green to give an organic feeling to the brand.
Square now automates online booking and assists with staff allocation, allowing the team at Bella Body to spend more time on admin, fulfilling massage requests, and venue management instead of manually calling each customer after an online booking. Furthermore, the business was lossing significant revenue from last minute cancellations, which Square now handles for the businesss.
